A new waste collection service introduced by Biffa has almost trebled Ashford BC's recycling rate in its first months of operation. According to provisional data, the borough's recycling reuse and composting rate has risen from 14% in 2011/12 to more than 50% in early October, following the introduction of the programme in July.
