East Lindsey apologises for online error

East Lindsey DC's leader has apologised after the council published online the confidential details of people applying to be its new chief executive.The council said it immediately removed the information, which included salaries and suitability for the role, as soon as it became aware.Council leader, Cllr Craig Leyland, said: 'The error is clearly unacceptable.'Candidates should be able to apply for positions in total confidence and we're sorry for any upset and distress this has caused.
