Kent pioneers launch of first private law practice

Kent CC will next month become the country's first local authority to own a private law practice. The 125-strong newly-branded Invicta Law will be led by the council's current head of legal services, Geoff Wild, while Christopher Digby-Bell, deputy chairman at the real estate investment management firm Palmer Capital, will oversee the team's finances.
