Budget pilots are welcome move

We welcome the deputy prime minister's announcement last week on the intention to create more community budget pilots at a neighbourhood and city-wide level. We have a strong track record of innovation and success when it comes to working with our public sector partners to pool budgets to achieve better outcomes for our citizens. We are currently one of the 16 pilots for community budgets dealing with early intervention with children and young people and are also working with the Gov­ernment on neighbourhood budg­ets, which means we are perfectly placed to be one of the pilots when bidding begins.
