Knight exemplar A senior policy officer at South Cambridge DC is the winner of this year's Local Government Challenge. Paul Knight fought off nine other contestants in a series of challenges, before taking the prize of the £10,000 BruceLockhart scholarship. LGA chairman, Sir Merrick Cockell, said: 'The quality and calibre of this year's finalists has been exceptional. Each of them showed a tremendous amount of enthusiasm! Unhealthy moves Shadow health secretary, John Healey, has accused the prime minister of being loose with the truth' over the Government's plans to reform the NHS. Speaking at a fringe event at the LGA annual conference, he former minister said the proposals under the Health and Social Care Bill were still 'unwise and unnecessary, and would waste more time and resources. Mr Healey said they were still the 'wrong reforms at the wrong time for the NHS'.
