Scrap Capital deal, demands Birmingham MP

A Birmingham MP has called for the city council's partnership with Capita to be scrapped as figures revealed it is making £58,400 profit a day. According to local newspaper reports, Service Birmingham made pre-tax profits of £21.3m last year, up from £14m in the previous 12 months. 'I don't think it is acceptable, particularly in these days where a lot of people are having to make sacrifices and a lot of council employees are being made redundant,' said local MP, Khalid Mahmood.
