It's the kind of opportunity that doesn't come along very often - the chance to play a leading role in one of the largest regeneration initiatives in Europe. For the last 15 years the Thames Gateway Kent Partnership (TGKP) has been promoting sustainable economic growth across North Kent. The area takes in a population of more than 620,000 people and almost 19,000 businesses. A stone's throw from the capital, it has an abundance of development land and goals to deliver more than 50,000 new homes and 58,000 extra jobs between 2006 and 2026. Together with counterparts in London and South Essex the public-private partnership is helping to unlock the potential of the wider Thames Gateway area.
