Denbighshire CC has earned a reputation for being one of the best councils in Wales. There is good or excellent performance in all our services and some services are recognised as being sector leading. Our expectation for the next five years is that the council's overall performance remains amongst the best authorities in Wales. Like everyone in the public sector Denbighshire CC is facing significant financial challenges over the new few years. This will be difficult as the council has already reduced its budgets by around 10% since 2009. The council will respond to these challenges without losing its commitment to strive for excellence. While delivering significant cuts we will deliver an ambitious corporate plan for 2012 - 2017, respond to emerging priorities and, as far as possible, protect jobs.
