Too many voters 'not registering'

'Still too many voters' are not correctly registered following the transition to individual electoral registration (IER), the outgoing chair of the Electoral Commission has said. Jenny Watson said the problem was particularly prevalent among young people and more needed to be done. A report by the commission last week revealed that around eight million people were not correctly registered at their current address as of December, 500,000 more than estimated in December 2010.
