The focus of this, the fourth of the Veredus series of breakfast debates, centred on how public services were responding to the challenges set out in last autumn's Spending Review. Of specific concern was the impact on decision-making and planning for the third sector, and the relationship between local government and the health sector. Those attending came from a variety of backgrounds in the NHS, the third sector, and local government, with many having held senior roles in those sectors. And what emerged from the discussions reflected many of the conversations Veredus has been having with senior leaders across the country.
