A scheme to drive down the costs of fleet and commercial vehicles has been launched for local authorities in the capital. The London Commercial Fleet Project aims to save London boroughs at least 10% of the £60m the councils spend every year on vans, minibuses and lorries. The project includes a new fleet-related website and an electronic auction framework, which is run in conjunction with the Government Procurement Service.
