Action demanded over levy The National Association of Local Councils (NALC) has warned that the new community infrastructure levy is not working and called for urgent action. The association's larger councils committee said not enough local authorities have put the levy in place and has urged town councils to submit evidence about it to a Parliamentary inquiry looking at the National Planning Policy Framework. Committee chair Cllr Ken Cleary said the absence of a levy can 'lead to communities missing out on crucial investment in infrastructure'.
