Recently I've found myself spending a lot of time sharing feedback with candidates -sometimes after appointments have been made, but also during recruitment processes too. It's an aspect of our work that I place great value on and it's really rewarding when candidates respond well to honest constructive feedback. Sometimes it can be a delicate conversation to manage, as candidates who have been unsuccessful are inevitably disappointed. However these feedback sessions are almost universally positively received and candidates really appreciate the opportunity to discuss their interview techniques. After all, it's not something people do very often, and the stakes are high - so feedback can be hugely valuable.
