New leadership at Milton Keynes

It is an exciting time for Milton Keynes Council as it faces all-out elections on new ward boundaries in the elections on 22 May, looks forward to the arrival of new chief executive Carole Mills and recruits to a number of senior posts. Current chief executive, David Hill, is retiring in September, and he is confident the organisation will rise to the challenge the changes may bring: 'We're building on a successful period of transformation within the organisation, which has significantly enhanced its productivity and performance as well as encouraging a "One Council" culture. 'We don't want to lose any momentum, so we have taken account of the election timetable and scheduled in the appointments in a way that will ensure the reshaped leadership team will be in place quickly to deliver on the aspirations of the new council.'
