"I read in the paper this week that some inspection quango which was supposed to be abolished but keeps spewing out reports like one of the undcad said that councils have have made half their savings by reducing staff. That's stating the bleeding obvious to put it mildly. How else can a council save money?What this zombie quango didn't say is that these councils have cut out all their staff and no one has noticed a dicky bird which makes you ask what on earth they were doing in the first place. If anything. most of the public think their services have got better.
