LEP gives go-ahead to 7,000 apprenticeships

The London Enterprise Panel (LEP) has approved a £70m package of measures by London boroughs to create more than 7,000 apprenticeships. The plans have been developed as part of the LEP's New Homes Bonus Programme and will see the regeneration of 130,000m~2 of public space and more than 6,600 Londoners helped into work. The other projects including a construction jobs brokerage, led by the City of London and an initiative by Hammersmith & Fulham LBC to offer children in care apprenticeships, skills and training opportunities. The 32 London boroughs and the City of London developed the projects in partnership with the Greater London Authority and London Councils.
