Sometimes it can be hard to find the right words in local government, so spare a thought for Wigan MBC's director of environment, Terry Dunn, after he sent staff an email discussing the local authority's forthcoming restructure, his upcoming holiday and his favourite punk bands... The email was promptly leaked to the national press and led to Mr Dunn being compared to David Brent, the hero of the BBC sitcom, The Office.
