The National Trust has a very am-bitious vision to reach out to the whole nation by 2020, increasing its 3.8 million members and encour-aging more than the 50 million peo-ple, that already visit the 709 miles of coast, more than 250,000 acres of countryside, and over 350 historic houses gardens, nature reserves and parks for which it cares. It is now seeking to appoint a head of strategy as part of that process, says Dame Fiona Reynolds, Chair of the Trust.
