Nhs and council bosses are missing opportunities to improve health and well-being services, due to a lack of joined-up thinking, a new report has warned. The study by the NHS Confederation and the Faculty of Public Health, entitled From illness to wellness, said both sectors could achieve savings and improve health by embracing wellbeing services. It called for local government healthcare bosses to align care services and adopt a more holistic approach to health. The report added that wellbeing services could help co-ordinate other services, including occupational health, housing and mental health.
