North Tyneside MBC has set up a response group of regional partners to fight the latest wave of redundancies. One NorthEast, Jobcentre Plus and Business and Enterprise North East will help 400 staff facing redundancy because of the closure of a local Findus factory. And all staff affected by the announcement will be invited to a meeting at the factory next Thursday (22 January) to be briefed by the response team.
