Sixteen London councils made major savings in a raft of business deals through the latest IT e-auction. In total, 47 organisations took part last week, joining forces to save more than ￡10.5m in IT equipmentHardware worth almost￡49m was on offer in the e-auction, and was sold for ￡38.5m. The auction was run by the Office of Government Commerce's (OGC) Markets and Collaborative Procurement ICT team, with London's Regional Improvement and Efficiency Partnership - Capital Ambition, and PA Consulting. Capital Ambition board member and Enfield LBC chief executive, Rob Leak, said: 'We are delighted with the results. It gives us a tangible, cashable saving and proves that collaborative working delivers results.'
