What does digital transformation mean to local government?

Following discussions we had at The MJ Future Forum, it is clear a key issue facing local authorities in the UK is how best to use technology to meet the increased needs and expectations of digitally-inclined citizens within the realms of budgetary limitations. Within the healthcare sector alone, organisations have seen greater patient involvement, reduced costs to practices and, ultimately, the availability of a more efficient and effective service to the public as a result of going digital. But it is not just the health sector that can benefit from further digital transformation, designed and implemented with local residents and other public services in mind.
