Diary doesn't want to recall the fear and suffering of the recent firemen's walkout. Their four-hour stoppage may not have meant more than a hill of beans for many. Yes, we have no more Green Goddesses (or Mr Motivators come to that - Ed), but there were no major incidents, accidents or injuries. Yet having scanned the London Fire Brigade's list of bizarre calls for help, there may well be someone too embarrassed to dial up during this time.
