Birmingham City Council chief executive Mark Rogers will remain as president of SOLACE with a revamped team of spokespeople.Under the new plans, as revealed in The MJ last month (see The MJ, 4 Sept, page 1), the society will create a policy board, in addition to a separate SOLACE group board, chaired by Essex CC chief, Joanna Killian.The policy board will include Wandsworth LBC chief executive on finance, South Tyneside's Martin Swales on economic prosperity and housing, and Phil Norrey from Devon on children's and families.
