Councils call for greater delivery of housing stock

District councils have called for Government support to deliver housing as the Bank of England governor warned about the shortage of new homes. Mark Carney said the insufficient construction of homes was one of the 'deep, deep' structural problems with the British housing market. His warning came as the District Councils' Network (DCN) called for a new national approach to infrastructure delivery that 'strategically supported housing and economic growth'.
