At a time of burgeoning change with political and economic uncertainty rife, organisations such as ours are under particular pressure to identify and address key issues; to taking a leading, pro-active role at all levels of government; to anticipate and plan with our ears firmly to the ground; to reform public services of the address growing demand pressures; to maintain morale and workforce resilience; and to turn around the gloom of cuts to our advantage to reinvent a new era and way of working. These are indeed trying, yet potentially exciting times! Amongst other questions, we need to be at the forefront of considering: 1. How do public sector leaders transform their workforce? 2. What are the skills, capacities and capabilities needed by a new era work force? 3. How flexible are we to adapt and how can we increase resilience levels? 4. Can the sector equip itself to share workforce talents and drive forward into exciting new territory to pool work force resources and create regional centres of expertise?
