MD leaves Leadership role for private position

The managing director of Local Government Leadership, John Atkinson, has stepped down to take on a new role in the private sector.Mr Atkinson will take up a new post as director of local government at consultancy firm KPMG.His departure follows that ofthe chief executive of Local Partnership, John Carleton, after just 12 months in post.
