Smoke-free Bristol, a partnership between the council, PCT and LSP, targets smoke rather than smokers to get its message across about removing smoking from the workplace, pubs and dubs. The nine public sector employers now have completely smoke free policies. This has ensured that several thousand workers are now protected from the dangers of second-hand smoke and are more likely to quit smoking than was the case in 2005.
