The Corporation of London regards a good HR strategy as essential to its aim of being an excellent council. Gary Annels, its personnel and management services director, describes how the strategy works 'We must allstrive to raise our game' is the message from our policy chairman, Michael Snyder. A clear exhortation not to rest on our laurels following the 'excellent' CPA rating but to continue to improve our performance management, leadership, customer service, technical innovation and communications-both internally and with the outside world.
