Local Directgov Programme

The Local Directgov Programme is not simply an extension of Directgov, but a partnership with local authorities. It has been created to help the public find any local authority service across the country quickly and easily through a single point of entry. The Local Directgov Programme has been developed to help increase the citizen take-up of local authority services, and the London Borough of Brent became involved in leading the programme because it fitted together with work that Brent had already undertaken as part of the West London Alliance. It was an opportunity to put the experience gained around improving online facilities for local government to practical use, and. we are now working to provide as much support as possible to other local authorities as they begin to engage with the Local Directgov Programme.
