Herefordshire councillors have reportedly met in secret to discuss the early retirement deal for outgoing chief executive, Neil Pringle. Mr Pringle retires this year, and will be replaced by Chris Bull, who will become the first joint chief executive of a local authority and a PCT. The council's appointments and contracts review panel is said to have met last week in secret session to discuss the terms under which he should go.
