The links between commissioning, health and community cohesion will be examined at a workshop being run by the IDeA and the Institute for Community Cohesion (iCoCo) at the UKPHA annual conference. Both organisations are exploring the role of policies such as World Class Commissioning, Local Area Agreements and Joint Strategic Needs Assessments (JSNAs) in helping councils, PCTs and the voluntary sector to strengthen social capital and build healthy, cohesive communities.
