Inspired choice to help Oldham deliver new homes

Oldham MBC has signed a 25-year PFI deal with the Inspiral Oldham Consortium to build new public housing across four sites in the borough. Around 700 homes will be built or refurbished as part of the scheme on the Crossley and Primrose Bank estates, and on brown-field sites at Westwood and Fitton Hill. "The signing of this PFI contract marks a major milestone in regeneration of the town by providing a dear, long-term commitment from partners to increase the pro- vision of affordable homes for local people,' said the Homes and Communities Agency's executive director for the North West, Deborah Mclaughlin.
