Migrants 'need support' to access vital services

A new report has highlighted how important it is for councils, voluntary groups and NHS trusts to help migrants access vital healthcare services. The report, by Local Government Improvement and Development (LGID), entitled Healthcare: Creating a level playing field for migrants, looked at access to services. There are estimated to be more than 500,000 migrants currently in the UK, and research suggests they find it hard to access health services.
