Outsourcing giant, Capita, has an-nounced a record bid 'pipeline' of ￡4.7bn, despite the public sector slow-down.The firm announced last week its contract wins had slipped from ￡1bn in 2009 to ￡795m in 2010, but also report-ed a 2% increase in turnover. Capita won several local government contracts and extensions in 2010, includ-ing deals with Harrow LBC, West Sussex CC, and the Nottinghamshire CC and East Midlands Broadband Consortium. The company also revealed it had won ￡244m of new contracts and renewals in the first seven weeks of 2011.
