Gloucestershire CC has received confirmation from 43 groups interested in taking over commu-nity buildings.The groups have submitted expressions of in-terest to the county council, with church groups, parish councils and members of the public repre-sented.Cllr Mark Hawthorne said: 'The fact we have had 43 expressions of interest signed is fantastic news.'A new national lead for adult offenders has been set up by the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS). Director of adult social services at Cheshire East Council, Phil Lloyd, has been given the brief. Mr Lloyd said: 'Older prisoners are more likely to have conditions which need specialist care. It is for this reason that ADASS has established the role.'
