Council IT managers are increasingly sharing infrastructure, services and business processes, a study by local authority technology expert, SOCITM, has indicated.Greater use of shared IT facilities among local authorities, which is driven by greater collaborative working and, in some cases, merging, could lead to increased sharing of staff and other council services as secure cloud technology matures, the fifth of six SOCITM guides suggests.
