The future funding modelling' undertaken by the Local Government Association (LGA) has given local government as a sector - and individual councils in particular - a clear framing analysis for their work on future options and approaches. This analysis seems to have gone largely unrefuted, but the implications of it are clear, and as they are increasingly better understood, they are driving new thinking and action.
