County signs up to slash carbon

Local authorities, including Lincolnshire CC, are among 24 public bodies which have signed up to a Carbon Trust initiative designed to slash energy bills by up to 25% and reduce carbon footprints. Over the next 10 months, each of the organisations involved will be implementing schemes designed by the Carbon Trust to increase the sector's energy efficiency. Doug Robinson, sustainability team leader at Lincolnshire CC, said it would help take the authority to 'the next stage' in cutting carbon and costs.
