'Work with us over care' urges WRVS

The Women's Royal Voluntary Service (WRVS) has called for greater partnership working with councils, as health and social care services merge.Chief executive of the WRVS, David McCullough, said local authorities could be confident about the services provided by the organisation, after it was awarded Investors in Volunteers status.'Our work supplements that of health and social care professionals, and we would urge local authorities to work with us to develop pilot schemes to effectively integrate health and social care,' said Mr McCullough.
