Homeless charity is latest to quit Work Programme

A leading homeless charity has become the first third sec tor organisation to quit the Government's controversial Work Programme. The Single Homeless Project (SHP) announced last week it was withdrawing after nine months as a sub-con tractor to the welfare-to-work scheme, which the organisa tion said was not properly resourced or structured.
