Early start should benefit youngsters

The Department for Education has signed a deal establishing the Early Intervention Foundation, a new charity which aims to help tackle the root causes of social problems spanning generations of families. A consortium of bodies, including the Local Government Association, Public Health England and 4Chil-dren is helping set up the body - which is set for a formal launch this spring. Graham Allen MP, chair of the Early Intervention Foundation, said: The foundation will have a vital role to play insuring that every baby, child and young person has the capabilities to fulfill their potential.'
