The Government should focus on integrating migrants into communities instead of statistics, the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) think tank has warned. According to the Office for National Statistics, net migration fell from 215,000 in 2011 to 176,000 last year. The IPPR's associate director, Sarah Mulley, said: 'The Government's focus on net migration statistics is at risk of obscuring more important questions about immigration.
