Anti cost-saving plan

Hackney LBC has launched an online petition as part of its campaign against cost-saving plans from the Mayor of London's Office for Policing and Crime which could see 85 fewer police officers in the borough by 2015. The council claims Hackney was policed by 770 officers in 2010, but that current numbers are already below the 685 forecast for 2015 and numbers could plummet to as few as 600.
