Ofsted slams 'inadequate' children's services

Children's services in Lancashire and Doncaster have come back under the spotlight after the publication of two Ofsted reports which branded both as inadequate. The watchdog's report into Lancashire CC's service highlighted serious failures and during the three-week inspection three children in care died in unrelated incidents. According to the report, inspectors looked at the records of these children with senior council managers who 'agreed some of the practice was poor'.
