Scots seek full devolution of employment services

Scottish ministers have called for the devolution of social security and employment services during a meeting with their Whitehall counterparts. The call was made during a meeting of the Joint Ministerial Working Group on Welfare, which took place in London on 20 July. The agenda included a discussion on how Jobcentre Plus should be run in Scotland, following last year's Smith Commission report, which recommended the Scottish and UK governments should work together and share the service.
