Early breakfast meeting in local cafe with director of HR to discuss organisational transformation and culture change. We know what the issues are, all we need to do is resolve them. How do we keep our staff mojo high when we are pushing them so hard? Receive phone call halfway through meeting, main civic building is flooding, risk assessment urgently required. Five minutes later, in civic building watching water cascading from the eighth floor to basement. Brilliant FM team already galvanised with mops and water sucking machines on the go. Offer to help mop, kindly told that I am wearing the wrong kind of shoes for mopping (surely one can mop in heels?)
