Leaders hail VAT relief on shared services a 'big win'

Business leaders have toasted the chancellor's Budget announcement that all shared services deals would qualify for VAT relief as a 'big win'. George Osborne revealed last week in his final Budget of this Parliament that private sector bidders for all public sector contracts will no longer face VAT charges from 1 April onwards. The chief executive of the British Services Association, Mark Fox, said the extension of VAT relief was a 'big win'.
