Working with corporate colleagues is 'critical' for adult care

The relationship between directors of adult social care and their chief finance officer is key, delegates attending the Association of Directors of Adult Social Servicesspring seminar last week were told. The organisation's co-lead for resources, John Jackson, stressed that working with corporate colleagues was 'absolutely crucial'.Mr Jackson said the role of finance business partner was hugely important, adding: 'Get someone in who is going to deliver the goods and this includessomeone telling you that you can't do something. If you're not getting the right support you have to take that up with the chief finance officer.'
