Councils have committed more than £1bn between 2106 and 2020 by investing in shopping centres, a study has revealed. Research by retail property specialists Revo and advisers Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) found direct investment by councils now accounted for one-fifth of all transactions involving shopping centre property.
